John an ex fishing Guide from Cairns landed this nice Golden Trevally on the flats sight casting with plastics. John and his brother were the first charter operators in Cairns to do GT Popping charters out on the reef many years ago.
Aaron and his wife Kinnon holidaying from Victoria landed and released Brassy Trevally, Spottie Mackerel on fly and spin tackle and Aaron landed big Golden Trevally on Snapback paddle tails,he also had a fish of the same size eat the fly right in front of him but didn't get a solid hookup.

He targets Trout and Large Mouth Bass in Japan in fresh water and had done little saltwater fly and enjoyed catching and releasing Spottie Mackerel on fly as well as seeing Golden Trevally tail on the flats and landed and released this great Golden on fly.
