From Fraser Coast Sportfishing.com Saltwater Good mate and US booking agent Randall Bryett and his lovely wife Kate own and operate Australia America Fishing Connections,they organised the flights, accomadation and fishing guides for the 2 week trip of a lifetime for me.
I got the chance to fish with good mates Randall and Brendan Mason in some amazing locations, see some wonderfull sights and spend some time with some really great friends in the process.
They come over to Australia to fish with me each year so it was great to be given the chance to visit them and see some of the water they fish regularly.
The trip itinerary went like this, fly from Australia to San Fransico then to Florida Keys Islamorada for Tarpon, fly to Cancun Mexico then catch the ferry over to the island of Cozumel for Bonefish then back to Ilsa Blanca for Permit,Bonefish, Tarpon ,Snook,then fly to Cabo San Lucas and on to Hotel Punta Colarado for Rooster fish and more then to San Diego and finally LA then fly home.
This was an amazing holiday and the only species from the target list was the elusive Rooster fish,I got to see and cast to plenty but it wasn't to be so I'll just have to go back one day and try again. The elusive Rooster Fish
