If your in the market for a new fly line check out the new SharkSkin range, the Microtextured surface improves floatation and reduces drag on pickup and it shoots really well with less false casting.

This is the 4th year Andy has come up to have a social fish with me but unfortunately the strong winds arrived as they did.

We were going to fish the bay but with a stong wind warning the plan was changed and we went to Monduran dam where conditions were cool and windy but much more comfortable.

Good mate John Scofield and Mike fished together from John's boat and Andy and I fished from my boat on the first day.
It's a great advantage to clients having the 2 specialised boats set up for these situations so they get the best fishing available to them no matter what the weather does.

I took the guys to the location I fished a few weeks earlier and Andy was hooked up to a good Barra on the Evergreen ES Drive within the first 15 minutes of fishing but sadly the hooks pulled.

We went on to have several other encounters for the day on both the ES Drives and Arafura's and in evening on the Evergreen Anaconda stick baits but sadly no fish were landed.

The following morning John landed a nice Bass on a Slick Rig intended for Barra and also pulled the hook on a big Barra and Mike got a few Catties on fly which was a first for him.

Later in the day I managed to land 2 nice Barra a 94cm and a 114cm on the Lively Lures 130 Arafura in the Bleeding Mullet colour.

Once again guys it was great to have you up here and share a boat and some good laughs with you all and I hope to see you all again soon.

Paul
