Have Your Say :

It doesn't take very long to fill it out, it has new regulations relating to size and bag limits along with YOUR thoughts on netting and other important matters relating to YOUR fishery.

One example in the bag limit section is the Dart bag limit of 30 which includes Snub Nosed Dart aka Indo Pacific Permit which is one of the most sought after species by Fly Fisherpersons all over the world.

I believe there should be a no commercial take on this species and others that bring tourists here but the QLD Govt that claims to be the Smart State just Can Not see the tourism potential we have in Recreational fishing.

It is very important that ALL Recreational fishers obtain a copy of this document and fill it out so we have a say in what happens to OUR fishery.
You can go online to www.dpi.qld.gov.au/fishweb to fill it out or visit www.getinvolved.qld.gov.au for more info.

It's no good whinging and moaning about it [Like the Marine Parks] when the new Bag and Size limits and other regulations are introduced, so I urge all fishers and your family and friends to take the time and fill it out.
The more responses they get the more chances we have of sustainable fisheries for US and our childrens children.

The closing date of this document is 5pm the 17th of March 2008 and if you would like to get a hard copy like the one pictured here call 13 25 23
