Sunfish Fraser Coast Chairman Randall McLellan has labeled it as Farcical and Sunfish will be seeking legal advice on the issue.
The map released today has very little change to the original that was presented to the public for consultation.
The only real change has been to the area around Little Woody Island in which I had a lot of input with Sunfish and the Fraser Coast Tourism Board.
The new map shows the green zone starts at the top western side of the island and goes south to the bottom of the island then across to the area known as Bun Bun rocks.
While this does give anglers access to the flats on the north eastern end, it also takes out a very productive area for tuna fishing with protection from the prevailing south east winds.
There has been little to no change in the commercial netting effort in the Great Sandy Straights.
