Marine Park Zonings

This is the reply from the local ALP member for Hervey Bay in response to emails I have sent to various Government departments regarding the sustainability of fishing in this region.

If the management of Queensland Health System is anything to judge by I really fear for our fisheries.
Mr MacNamara we all look forward to the release of the Marine Park Zonings,this along with the health system debacle will be the down fall of the Labour Government in Queensland and rightly so.
The message this email sends to me is that netting will continue in it's current state with no reduction.

The final zonings plan for the marine park will allow for the sustainable continuation of all marine interests including sportsfishing. I have been involved at every stage in the process of producing a balanced and workable plan and look forward to its release in the near future.
