Once again this year the Guys from Mayfly Tackle made their way up to Queensland for their anual trade run to display the gear they have on offer to tackle outlets.
They have a wide range of products they distribute throughout the country and are the sole importers of Scientific Anglers fly lines and Scott Fly Rods along with Innovator rods and WaterWorks/Lamson Fly reels to name a few.
I'm very pleased to announce I now have Scott fly rods and Innovator fly rods along with spin and plug rods as well as Waterworks and Scientific Angler Large Arbor reels for clients to use.

With another weekend of Strong Wind Warnings and another canceled charter for the saltwater due to it and the anglers not wanting to fish freshwater, I headed up to Monduran dam to do some more research and development so when I have clients that want to fish the dam I have a good idea on where fish are and find new areas that show potential.

Rod and Peter flew in from Sydney last week to be greated by a strong wind warning with yet another blast of howling South east winds.
The persistent south easters haven't let up since then causing me to cancel more charters this week for guys wanting to fly fish the Long Tail and Mac Tuna schools that are in the bay at this time of year.

With another week of wild weather here in Hervey Bay with strong wind warnings and rain I once again had to cancel 2 charters. I decided not to waste the opportunity and headed off to Monduran Dam to check out the state of the dam after a rise of over 4 meters since my last charter up there last week.
