2005-2006 Season
The 2005-2006 season has been fantastic with many great fish being caught and released in both fresh and saltwater by my clients. Anglers of all skill levels are welcome on my boats and everyone from beginners to seasoned pros having been racking up some impressive captures. Take a look around at the reports and gallery and you will see the 'proof in the pudding'!
Over the past few I have guided many Australian and International anglers to many different species of fish here on the Fraser Island Coast. Using artifical Fly, Lure and Sportfishing methods some anglers have caught their first, biggest or best fish on the decks of my boats.
My guiding service operates here 12 months a year and fish such as Golden Trevally and Longtail tuna and many others can be caught here all year round.
For sight casting to Goldens and Queenfish the flats are best fished during the warmer months of the year from October to March.
There is also the possibility of catching an Indo Pacific Permit aka Snub-Nosed Dart here in the bay. The picture below shows the first one ever to be taken on a fly rod in Hervey Bay.
These warmer months also can get the dreaded North West and if the winds happens to blow hard I have a second boat set up for lake and river fishing where we target Barramundi, Aussie Bass and Saratoga.
Longtail tuna are usually in good numbers from February through to September both here close in the bay or down the inside of the island at Tin Can Bay.
Access to Hervey Bay has never been easier since the extension to the Hervey Bay Airport that now accommodates larger jets. Connecting flights from major cities around the globe that land in Sydney can fly direct to the Hervey Bay.
Contact www.jetstar.com.au or www.virginblue.com.au for more details on flight times and pricing.

Hervey Bay is easily accessed being only 300 kilometers north of Brisbane on the east coast of Australia and a short flight from other big cities in Australia. Hervey Bay has just had it's airport upgraded to take bigger jets so now it's easier than ever before to get here with connecting flights from Sydney and Melbourne from as little as $69.00 one way.

Paul speaks of his vessels,
"I operate two boats one is a 4.1m Poly Craft with full casting platform and seating for 2 anglers for Freshwater and Rivers.
 |
| Polycraft |
The second boat is a 5.3m Custom built Tri Hull with front and rear casting platforms which gives two fly or lure anglers plenty of room.

| Tri Hull |
By operating the two boats I believe it gives my clients more opportunities to target a wider range of species. From Barra, Bass and Saratoga in the fresh to Tuna and Golden Trevally and many other species in the salt. Best of all it allows access to fishing in all weather conditions."
