Vinh wanted to sight cast Golden Trevally on the flats but after explaining to him that it was the wrong time of year we changed the game plan to sight cast to another great species.
I took the guys sight casting to Longtail tuna as they cruised the surface looking for bait schools and they loved it.
This method of targeting these magnificent fish doesn't happen all the time and the last couple of weeks has been the best I've ever seen for sight casting to cruising fish in the deeper water.
They hooked landed and lost some nice Mac Tuna and Longtails for the day on Snapback Jerkbaits rigged on TT jig heads.
Guys it was great to show you what we have here in Hervey Bay and look forward to showing you the flats fishing in summer.
