This Barra was caught while targeting Mangrove Jacks and was released unharmed immediately after the picture was taken as it is closed season for Barra until the 1st of Febuary.
It would have been released even if it wasn't closed season
A nice 44cm Mangrove Jack caught and released on a Lively Lures 3 inch deep Mad Mullet.
With the amount of bait schools in the bay this year it's shaping up to be a great summer season from all different species.
