The new Lively Lures Arafura Barra Shallow diver has been producing some good fish lately.
Jori and his wife Pirjo contacted me from Sydney for a charter on Monduran dam to try for a Barra while up in Bundaberg on holidays.
They had never cast a lure for barra before so I started them on the open weed beds and when I had them casting accurately after some casting tuition we ventured further into the timbered areas.
Jori had 2 close encounters with barra amongst the timber but they failed to get a solid hookup.
Pirjo managed to land this nice barra off a weed bed amongst the timber and it is the biggest fish she has ever caught by a long way.
Jori and Pirjo it was a pleasure having you both on the boat for the day and showing you the dam and it's wild life and guiding you onto a nice Barra.
