He is a keen lure and fly fisherman and fishes the ABT Trout Classics in Tassie and had a great day on the dam targeting Bass and Saratoga.
The wind had eased from the previous day and the surface was glassy early in the morning where I had him using surface lures and he got smashed by a large Saratoga but failed to hookup.
Top half middle of pic a cruising Saratoga
Later in the day as the sun got higher in the sky giving greater visibility into the waters of the lake I had him sight casting to cruising Saratoga.
There were a lot of pairs cruising and this indicates the start of spawning at this time of year and this can make them difficult to catch.
The day warmed up nicely and he got to see plenty of wild life in birds and 2 really big brown snakes along with hearing the Stags calling in the hills which he really enjoyed.
Jamison it was great to be able to show you one of Queensland most beautiful lakes and show you some nice fish and I hope the rest of your stay in Noosa was pleasant.
