It certainly hasn't been an easy road!with changing weather patterns, new Green Zones and fuel increases but I was determined to make a go of it and to the hundreds of clients over that time I have guided onto good fish on both fly and lure in sweetwater and saltwater I say THANK YOU for your business.

There have been many memorable moments and captures over those years although it's not always the big fish that are the most enjoyable and I have had some great fisherpersons on my boats.

Good mates Rod [Harro]Harrison, and the Late Don McPherson [Australian Monofilimant Co], Randall Bryett and his Lovely wife Kate Van Gyetenbeek [Australia America Fishing Connections], John Schofield [ABT and AFC Pro Angler], Andrew Sommers[Mayfly Tackle]Bryan Burke[Innovator Nitro Fishing Rods],Neil Schults[Fishing Journalist], Steve Morgan[Owner and past editor QFM] also Jim Vincent [Rio Fly lines],
Andrew Ettingshausen[NSW and Australian Rugby league player and Telivision Fishing show presenter] ,Diana Rudolph[Womens World Record holder Tarpon,Permit and Bonefish],Jose Wejebe[Spanish Fly fishing show presenter] and many others.

But looking back through thousands of photo's it made me realise that I not only enjoy guiding experienced anglers but also the Ladies and the young kids onto their first memorable captures.

There smiles seem much wider and more excited than all the others simply because they don't get to do it all the time and they really get excited when that fish surfaces for the first time.

Many people over the years have asked why I get anglers to wear gloves when holding a fish for a pic before release, this is for Angler and Fish well being.

Most anglers do not realise that by holding a fish with small scale or no scale like Trevally and Tuna that bare dry hands[possibly with sunscreen on them] will burn or damage the fish skin and it WILL eventually die a slow death from infection.

As a charter operator I strive to give my clients the best oportunity to catch fish as well as the survival of the fish after the capture upon release.

The fish now are always handled with wet gloves, except for the early days when I didn't realise what I was doing to the fish and they are kept out of the water for as little time as possible, anything less Will see the fish struggle to survive for future captures.

I would also like to thank my sponsers Australian Monofilament Co.[Bionic Braid],Australia America Fishing Connections, Haines Suzuki, Mayfly Tackle[Scientific Angler fly lines],Lively Lures,Fishtek[Snapback Soft Plastics],Navico Australia[Lowrance Electronics],Mako Eye Wear,Minn Kota[BLA],Innovator Nitro Fishing Rods,Jack Erskine Precision Reel Engineering,TT Lures,Sweetwater Fishing.com.au[Gary Fitzgerald] Adams Marine Mechanical.
The support of these sponsers is greatly appreciated and helps me supply top quality fishing equipment to my clients to ensure they have the best possible day out on the water with me.

Where the future lies with the rising cost of fuel and ignorance to sustainable fishing by the QLD Government I'm not sure but I will try to keep providing the best service possible into the future.

If you like targeting fast saltwater species like Tuna,Trevally,Queenfish and other species that inhabit the waters of Hervey Bay and the Great Sandy Straits or if it's the sweetwater you prefer for species like Barramundi, Bass and Saratoga in fantastic locations like Borumba,Lenthalls,Monduran and Awoonga Dams I can arrange a charter to suit your needs.

Regards Paul
