The day started a bit slow but as the tide changed the guys got into some nice Golden Trevally along with a variaty of other species and a few unseen critters that didn't want to come up.
Jason lost a fish that peeled off 125 meters of 20lb braid in quick time but sadly after getting most of the line back and a bit of sluging it out down deep the hook pulled.
Steve and Jason mainly fished plastics but both caught a few smaller trevally on fly but it was Pete that landed the fish of the day using the very effective method of deep fly.

A beautiful Diamond Trevally and to date the biggest of this species to be landed on my boat in the past 5 years of guiding on Hervey Bay, well done Pete!!
Pete's fish was caught on the new ADVANCED TUBULAR COMPOSITES ( ATC) #12 wt , custom built by Gary Howard of Australian Rod Manufacturers.
Guys it was a fun day guiding you onto some nice fish and sharing some good laughs.
