The Dam is looking really good with the large influx of water it's had recently and looking at the long range forcast I think there's more too come.
Knowing the fishing was going to be tough I mainly wanted to spend the time I had to check out the new flooded ground that the Barramundi will be searching in for food and warmer waters in the near future.
A mate of mine Tony came along for the ride and managed to land a nice Barramundi on a 130 Lively Lures Arafura Barra in the Bleeding Mullet colour.
There were 2 other encounters with one fish missing the hooks as it swiped the lure very close to the boat and another good fish pulling the hooks during the battle in some tight country.
With more rain forcast I gathered some more GPS marks of lay down timber for future charters.
