Having my second boat a 4.1 meter Poly Craft with purpose designed deck space to fish the dams and rivers still gives anglers the opportunity to experience some of the fishing this wonderful region has when the bay is blown out.
Jason has moved here with his family from Canada and his good mate and fishing buddy from Canada Chris is here on holidays.
The guys were keen to fish somewhere and they had never fished for Bass or Barra before so the decision to fish Lenthalls dam was made.
Their both keen Fly fishermen and have fished together a lot back home on the Bow River in Canada for Trout and Salmon.
I started the guys off on surface fly but with the conditions we had I sugested they use spin gear and some Kokoda G/Vibes and they were soon into some fish.
They caught and released some nice Bass for the day but with the cool weather and strong winds there were no Barramundi encounters unfortunately.
Jason and Chris it was a great having you on board and showing you our great little dam and some Aussie Bass.
Chris I hope the rest of your holiday in Australia is safe and pleasant and Jason I look forward to guiding you onto some Long Tail Tuna in the New Year.
